Charlie Fish, Baggio's Story

A short story that I decided to read when looking up some other thing in my past time. found at the website http://www.short-stories.co.uk/

This story is called Baggio's Story and it begins with Baggio someone who is powerful and famous but despite being a Well Known Football player, A Composer of 3 different languages and a Black Belt of Judo and Dan. All Baggio wanted was to be remembered as a Philosopher.

This Story begins with Baggio choosing a path of what some would call, Nirvana. Basically he gave up all his desires and belonggings while leaving his friends. He took a Rental Car and moved everything from his mansion into the Van. He Drove to the center Square of a City and empited everything he owned on the grass floor. He then stripped himself of the colthes he was wearing and left the square in search of someone to take him in while he is to experience a part of life which he has not yet touched.

Never finding a place he then returned to the square and foudn that not one of his things were touched, no one stole them or anything. He firgured that once he had given up all his desires but one, he would be able to focus on his achievement to be remembered forever.
Everytime he asked someone if they'd be willing to help take something off his shoulders for free, thier response was something like "I'm Just Looking" or "How much is this?" someone even offered to pay for 5 grand of everything, but declinng the offer he decided to no longer rack his brain over this.

However still needing a residence to stay he asked several people If they would take him in and command him to do anything, many times he asked until one man named Leo was to take up his offer.
Asking Baggio question after question Leo believed his word, that he could tell Baggio if he were to Eat or not, Sleep and if Leo commanded it, to Kill himself.

Leo Brought Baggio back to his Flat which he had rent on, and told him basics of how his living style was, after telling Baggio to watch TV he went off to work. This was Baggio's normal routine, Eat, Drink adn Watch TV, he was not to really do anything and was not commanded anything else. Baggio ready with a Pen in his hand was unable to complete his Philosophy writings in paper yet nor start.
One Day Baggio exclaimed that he was bored and both Leo and Baggio got into some arguent that Baggio was not to be annoyed if Leo told him. Leo Made him realize that he was nowhere near being what he wanted and expected Baggio to leave. However Baggio made a decision and went to the park, thinking about his life.

Baggio was then Invited to join Leo to go to his friends for a drink and was able to make friends with Leo's. He later that week begun to find himself and was experiencing a type of companionship he's never touched before, It made him start to see another way. These new friends did not judge him for what he had done badly, or for what he had not yet achieved. The people he used to call friends were only friends while hr was successful, but these new friends had no expectations from Baggio, and they included him in their lives without conditions.

I just thought of this in a way of thinking how someone should apreciate what they have, strongly including thier friendships.
